Review Profiles Carefully

Before reaching out for a ride, take a few minutes to review the driver or passenger’s profile. Make sure their route, timing, and expectations align with yours.
If something doesn’t feel right, trust that instinct and keep looking for another ride match.

Trust your instincts

Your comfort and safety come first. If a person or situation doesn’t feel right, you don’t need to go through with the ride, it’s okay to cancel or say no.
Be clear about your boundaries, communicate them early, and don’t feel pressured into a situation that feels off.

Have A Backup Plan, especially if they're new

When you’re carpooling with someone new, it’s smart to have a backup plan. Make sure you know alternate transport as a fallback. If your ride gets cancelled or plans change unexpectedly, you’ll be ready.

Communicate Through Carpoolin

Keep all messages and trip coordination within the Carpoolin app. This helps protect your privacy and allows our team to monitor for any potential issues. Don’t share personal contact details like your phone number until you’ve met and feel comfortable doing so.

Leave Feedback

After each trip, take a moment to rate and leave feedback for your driver or passengers. Honest feedback helps build trust within the community and makes it easier for others to find reliable people to carpool with.

Report Negative Experiences

If something happens that makes you uncomfortable or you believe another member has acted inappropriately, report it through the Carpoolin app. Our team reviews every report confidentially and takes action to keep our community safe and respectful.

For all Users

We start by doing the things you'd expect from a modern App.
Verifying Users a
nd being Reputation Based means your interactions will represent you.
It isn't full proof but establishes a base line.

User Preferences

This gives others a glimpse of you and what you're into.

In-App messaging

When you reachout to another User you're put into a Chat room.

Here, you can voice preferences you might have, but to also get a sense of the other person's character.

If the chemistry is good, you could naturally move on to sharing your number/contact information and figure out what the rest of your Trip looks like.
And if it isn't really working out.. perhaps voice it and be on your way.

Carpoolin allows you to 'hide' other Users you wish to be hidden from your Trip Search Results.
