Safety is such an important element to get right.
How do I create an environment through an App where Users feel safe?
We'll start by doing things you'd expect to see in a modern App.
Verifying Users is a good way to remove bots and other malicious actors from the User pool.
Carpoolin will go a step further by adding ID // Address verification (coming later 2025).
What's next?
One of the key things with an App like this is being able to chat with the person you want to commute with.
There’s a bit of overlap with how dating apps work in that sense, to be clear, Carpoolin is not a dating app.
It’s really about building a bit of trust and getting a feel for who you’ll be sharing a ride with. Once you’ve made that connection, you will have to rely on your own intuition.
All the while -- if you feel uncomfortable at any point in time and wish to report a user for any reason there are options for this.
Reputation is something at the core of Carpoolin, it is important that we reward Users using the App properly and correct or remove the ones that aren't.
Safety will be an on going effort from us, and we'll continue tuning this where possible.
